Best Things To Do In Ft. Myers

1. Three Brothers Dolphin and Manatee Adventure Tour

We may be a little biased, but we’re not the only ones that feel this way! Our dolphin & manatee tour of Ft. Myers is highly recommended by everyone in the area and have been featured on many nationally televised shows, including the Travel Channel! This tour is also rated the #1 Thing to do on TripAdvisor!

On this tour we see tons of dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, conchs and much more! Another thing that makes this the best thing to do in the Fort Myers area is the beautiful clear blue water and white sand beaches. We often hear people say ”Wow, this looks like a postcard”! The Dolphin and Manatee Adventure Tour is also conveniently located less than 15 minutes from most of Fort Myers Beach.

2. The Edison and Ford Estate

While in town, take a tour of the winter estates of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. There are historical buildings, beautiful award-winning gardens, the Edison Botanic Research Lab and the Inventions Museum. The Invention Museum allows you to step into he minds of these two American Pioneers as it has been preserved to look just as it was when they were hard at work. The property also features a beautiful garden and great waterfront views.

3. Beach Day at Crescent Beach

This beach is just south of the pier and is known for being a peaceful family oriented beach. Complete with public parking, multiple picnic areas, volleyball courts, and of course a beautiful white sand beach. The beach here is also great for snorkeling and swimming. If you’re looking for a beautiful beach to set out the chairs and have a beach day, this is it.

Top Restaurants In Ft. Myers

Fort Myers is known for having some really good food and amazing restaurants. Here are our top 3 suggestions for the best restaurants in Fort Myers.

1. Deep Lagoon

This restaurant definitely serves some of the best and freshest seafood in town! The reason Deep Lagoon comes in at number one on our list is because it not only has extremely fresh seafood, but it also has some of the best varieties of seafood around. There are not many restaurants anywhere that serve Trippletail, Cobia, and Wahoo regularly on their menu. They also have a little seafood market in the front of the restaurant that sells fresh fish. After a long day out on the water, this is a great restaurant to pull your boat up to and enjoy a great meal!

2. Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille

Doc Ford’s is owned by local resident and internationally known author, Randy Wayne White. He has done a great job capturing the local feel, while still adding a nice and trendy touch to the atmosphere. Located right on the water so you get great views and sunsets here and it is just a short drive from almost anywhere in Fort Myers Beach. The menu has a Caribbean flavor to it and features tons of great seafood.

3. Coste Island Cuisine

This place has breathtaking sunset views right on the beach with a top notch menu. Coste Island Cuisine offers a greater fine dining experience that most other oceanfront restaurants in the area and their gourmet food speaks for itself! They are known for they’re seafood with a touch of Italian flavor. A couple personal favorites would be the lobster carbonara and the crispy brussels sprouts. Coste is also conveniently located close to where most of the visitors stay in Fort Myers Beach.

We hope that our recommendations for the best things to do in Fort Myers and the best places to eat in Fort Myers help you better enjoy your time here!
