Helpful paddle board tips, product reviews, and the best Florida has to offer.
Now that you have invested in a brand-new standup paddleboard, it’s important for you to take the time needed to keep your board in pristine condition. Fortunately, with just a few simple habits, paddleboard maintenance becomes easy and keeps your board looking brand new for years to come. Wash your SUP after EVERY use. Not after every other use, but every single time you use your board, wash it. All it takes is a quick...
The Florida waterways are a magical place! They are full of natural beauty, home to thousands of wildlife species, and offer a great source of entertainment. This is why we offer paddle board tours in several locations all around the state. While on tour, we frequently experience wildlife in many forms, but the most common question or comment we receive is about manatees. “Can I touch a manatee?” The short answer is no, manatees are...
Following some basic board care tips guidelines will keep your Three Brothers Stand Up Paddle board in pristine condition for years to come. If you are unsure of, or have questions regarding the care tips and maintenance of your board, please contact us during normal business hours and one of our staff will be happy to assist you. People frequently ask me to comment on purchasing a paddleboard. As a long-time Three Brothers Board rider, I hold strong convictions, but I share my unbiased (well, mostly unbiased) opinion whenever asked. One of the first questions I ask a person is what they intend to do with their board. Will they be fishing, surfing, touring with a group, racing, or practicing yoga on it? Usually, a person just starting out may not know exactly...
Would you like to enhance stand up paddle boarding by land paddling? As an avid land paddle rider for several years, I often get asked what it is and whether it truly mimics stand up paddleboarding. If you haven’t tried it yet, land paddling—or street SUP—is a rapidly growing sport that combines stand up paddle boarding, surfing, and skateboarding. Virtually every time we hit the streets or trails, people stop us to ask what we’re...
Being at one with nature from a paddleboard is an experience we owe to ourselves. Let's face it, the pace of life has increased for many of us. We live in a connected world where smartphones keep us linked to corporate email and social media. For the most part, we’re fine with that—until we need a break. When it is time to disconnect, truly disconnect, if even just for an afternoon. Moreover, jumping on a stand...
Paddleboarding is a sport that has really taken off into a mainstream sport in the last 10 years. Even three years ago, people came into the shop daily and asked, "What is paddleboarding?" Many different types of SUPs or Stand Up Paddle Boards, serve various purposes. Today, people all around the world are doing all types of things on Paddle boards. I have seen paddle boarders fishing, surfing, touring, spearfishing, lobstering, wake surfing, doing Yoga,...
Classic Paddle Boards, Endless Lifestyle
Throughout time, designs, looks, and styles come and go. Some shockingly come back and others are gone for good. There are exceptions, however. Certain designs are timeless and here to stay. They looked amazing when first introduced 60 years ago and are still amazing today. We refer to this as a classic. A 330 Ferrari, a Chris Craft Boat, a Woodie surfboard… all classics, things that never go out of style.
At Three Brothers Boards, we don’t want your board to just look good for a year, or even for the next ten. We want your paddle board to be a classic. It will be a board that looks great and is in-style forever. This is why our designs go back in time to the era of the classic - the Woodies. All of our designs are inspired by those classic paddle boards from the 1950’s and 1960’s. Our goal for your paddle board is simple - when retiring your board after decades of use, your grandchildren will be fighting over who gets to display it in their home. Now that's a classic.
